A bicycle path will be established between Kéthely and Balatonmáriafürdő in Somogy county, the HUF 465 million investment will be completed by July of this year – the municipality of Kéthely informed MTI.
The development, which will be realized entirely from European Union and domestic tender funds, includes, in addition to the approximately 3 kilometers of bicycle paths, the construction of sidewalks and benches, the designation of bicycle lanes, the development of public lighting for bicycle crossings and, among other things, stormwater drainage. The bicycle route touches Balatonújlak and Balatonkeresztúr and connects existing bicycle networks, as it connects to the Balaton bicycle circuit in the north and to the Marcali-Kéthely bicycle path in the south, reads the announcement.
