Winter time begins on Sunday (31st October), and clocks are reset to two in the morning at three in the morning. The clock change will affect some domestic and international trains, but the schedule did not need to be changed because of this, Mávinform told MTI on Friday.
The announcement drew attention to the fact that on October 31st, the train departing from Nyugati railway station at 0.52 and 1.52 to Szobra and at 0.43 and 1.43 to Szolnok will run on the entire route according to summer time.
According to the winter time, a train departs from Nyugati railway station to Esztergom at 2.25, Szolnok at 2.38, Szobra at 2.52, to Nyugati from Debrecen at 2.31 and from Lajosmizsa at 2.45, to Keleti railway station from Kelebia at 2.09 and from Szolnok at 2.58, From Debrecen to Nagykereki at 2.20. In international traffic, the Dacia international high-speed train number 346, which departs from Lőkösháza at two o’clock in the morning and passes through Budapest to Vienna, departs at 2 o’clock in winter time.
The Dacia international high-speed train No. 347 departs from the Keleti railway station to Bucharest on October 30th at 11:10 pm, runs to Lőkösháza according to summer time, and then continues from there at 2.39 pm winter time. Some international trains are caught by the clock change on foreign rail lines. These are the 407 Corona InterCity (Brasov-Budapest-Eastern), the 406 Corona IC (Budapest-Brasov), the 473 Ister IC (Budapest-Eastern-Bucharest), the 472 Ister IC ( Bucharest-Budapest), Muntenia No. 78 (Bucharest-Budapest-Eastern), Muntenia No. 79 (Budapest-Bucharest), Imre Kálmán No. 462 (Budapest-Eastern-Munich), Imre Kálmán EN (Munich-Budapest), Wiener-Walzer EN 466 (Budapest-Eastern Zurich), Wiener Walzer EN 467 (Zurich-Budapest), 476 and 477 Trains No 2 to Metropol EN for trains running from Berlin to Warsaw and trains to Kiev and Vienna and Vienna and Kiev.
At Volánbus, on Sunday, October 31st, at dawn, the 720 bus departing from Budapest at 2.15 in the direction of Érd and the 735 bus departing from Érd at 2.40 to Bem tér will be launched according to summer time, the announcement says.
